The NACAR Board is grateful for a wonderful meeting in Cincinnati the weekend of November 11-13, where we tried to turn "chaos into order" and "confusion into clarity." We believe this gratitude will create a vision for tomorrow for NACAR. You may have seen photos of our meeting on Facebook. We worked hard and had a great time together!
We give thanks for you, our members, who were never far from our thoughts and prayers as we continue to move forward in our plans for NACAR.
We are excited to share some wonderful news with you! We welcome two new Board members – Kathy Herrington, Associate of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary from San Jose, California, and Cathi Duffy, Director of Associates for the Society of the Holy Child Jesus in Rosemont, Pennsylvania. Thank you for your generosity in agreeing to volunteer your time, gifts and resources with the Board and our NACAR members.
The Board also made the decision to formalize the leadership structure for NACAR. Fred Goddard and Mary Jo Mersmann are no longer Board members but are the Management Team serving NACAR members and the NACAR Board. We are thankful to these two people who have been doing the administrative work of NACAR since March and have volunteered to continue to serve in this capacity so that they may continue to help you with Membership, the Conference, the website and so much more. Another member of the Board, D.P. Moose Wetzel, has finished his term of office. We are grateful for his service these past three years. He has agreed to sit at the NACAR table at the Conference to greet you and answer your questions. Thanks, Moose!
A financial update: NACAR is operating in the black with a total of $34,000 in the bank. For this we are most grateful to our NACAR members for keeping current their memberships. To that end, we are simplifying our renewal schedule for 2012. We are changing our fiscal year to July 1 through June 30 so all renewals will be due in July. We will be sending out notices in April to all of our members with membership due by July 15. This will give you an opportunity to prepare your budgets with this in mind. No one will owe dues for 2012 until that time. If you are unsure that your dues are current, please contact Mary Jo Mersmann or 253-256-2227.

I always thank my God as I remember you in prayer, because I hear about your love for all God's holy people and your faith in the Lord Jesus. I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ.
