Description

The Life, Peace, and Justice Commission of the Diocese of San Jose sponsored a Day of Healing for those who are victims of sexual abuse and for their family, friends and colleagues. The day began with a prayer service and a reflection on the sex abuse crisis which was given by Rosemary Elmer, M.Div.,PHD. Rosemary had been invited by Bishop McGrath to attend all of the listening sessions held in the Diocese in the fall of 2018. Rosemary used those listening sessions as a background to her reflection.

Her reflection Can Catholics Survive the Clergy Abuse Crisis? Some Psychological and Theological Reflections by Rosemary M. Ellmer, M.Div., Ph.D is posted on the Theological Studies website. Click Here to read the article.
