Friends of BACAR September News

An excerpt from The Summons by John Bell*:

Will you come and follow me if I but call your name?
Will you go where you don't know and never be the same?
Will you let your love be shown, will you let my name be known,
Will you let my life be grown in you and you in me?

Such strong and committed words to give us strength in the days ahead. Fall has come and leaves are already on the ground. It is not always easy to follow, but when we stand together we can do anything!

Our last BACAR meeting on September 8, 2018, was a turning point. Many felt a great need to get involved now with the many programs that are in place for the homeless. Read the article and see the pictures on the BACAR website about this last event. It was extremely productive. Those of you who are NACAR members, make sure to read the article about BACAR in the Fall edition of The Associate coming out soon.

NACAR (North American Conference of Associates and Religious) is again continuing the dialogue with Creative Conversations on October 17, 2018. If you are a NACAR individual member or NACAR congregational member, sign up for these strategically planned discussions for associates and leaders. Please check out the details here!

NACAR is also co-sponsoring an online Virtual Learning Community of Faith Formation. Learn all about VLCFF by tuning into the NACAR here.

BACAR's next move toward ACTION will be an evening of discussion and a movie on human trafficking. The movie is entitled "I Am Still Here."

The time is 6:15 PM on Sunday, January 27. At Los Altos Methodist Church. Mark your calendar!
