BACAR News: November 3, 2018

Joyce Rupp writes in her October newsletter: In an issue of Day by Day, Alice Camille reflects on the well-known passage from Ecclesiastes 3:1-11. (For everything there is a season.) She writes, “…the notion that life is a pendulum, ceaselessly rocking, is there. Life can go either way—and in fact will go both ways, before it’s over. Each of us will be happy and sad, strong and sick, winners and losers, before we’re through. We’ll celebrate and endure; know grand days and terrifying ones. We’ll be glad to be alive. And wish we hadn’t been born.”

Yes, the seasons move on as we see November approaching with Day of the Dead, All Souls Day and All Saints’ Day! We mourn with you the loss of family, friends and those who have been blind-sighted in life by others who take life from them. We hope to bring a balance to this environment through the everyday steps we take through our charisms.

BACAR's next move toward ACTION will be an evening of discussion and a movie on human trafficking. The movie is entitled "I Am Still Here."  The time is 6:15 PM on Sunday, January 27. At Los Altos Methodist Church. See here for details.
Wishing you a wonderful fall season,
